  • Milestones-
  •           Total no of stations electrified through solar system-

                 06 stations in Kiul-Gaya section which is working satisfactory

  • Conversion from R-12 to R-134a refrigerant in under slung AC coaches- Total-15 Coaches have been completed.
  • Mobile & Laptop Charging facility in AC & TL coaches provided - All 156 AC Coaches and 213 Non-AC Coaches-All rakes have been completed.
  • Illumination of Reservation Chart in 88 AC & WGSCN coaches.
  • Flush type light fitting provided in 16 SLR coaches.
  • Emergency light provided in 61 coaches.
  • Lighting improvement at all major stations is being planned. Lighting on one post on PF No. 1 of Patna Jn. has been taken for this purpose on the pattern of Howrah platform.
  • Important energy conservation measures have been taken & resulted good in reduction in energy consumed. In 08-09 DNR has been saved .90 Cr. in absolute terms, and indirectly 1.8 Cr. Rs/- for whole year.
  • 250 watt Metal halide fitting ,FTL fittings etc provided for better lux level as well as for energy efficiency.
