Major Achievements of 2009-10(upto October)

1. Permanent speed restriction of 30 Kmph at kms 89/5-89/0 in between Tilaiya-Wazirganj in KEU-GYA section has been removed.

2. Contracts for Leasing of SLR of 2391, 2296, 2352 & 3248 have been finalished during the month May 2009

3. 07 special trains (Train No. 2296A ex Patan Jn. to Bangalore, Train No. 792 ex Patan Jn. to Secundrabad, Train No. 0415 ex Patan Jn. to Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Train No. 141 ex Patan Jn. to Chhatra Pati Shive Jee Terminal, Train No. 0381 ex Rajendra Nagar to Ajmer, Train No. 0391 ex Patan Jn. to Yaswantpur and Train No 0383 ex PNBE to Gaya) were run to clear rush during peak summer.

4. Contracts for operation and maintenance of Pay & Use Toilet at Gulzarbagh has been finalished during the month under review.

5. Section speed of Lakhisarai – Manpur section (single line) from km. 1.19 to 123.99 has been raised from 80 kmph to 100 kmph during the month.

7. ISO 9001:2008 Certificate has been granted to Safety organization of Danapur division vide Certificate Number MS: 00880809 on Date 24.08.09.

8. Highest ever achievement (Indicating previous best in the last 5 years):

20.40 km has been tamped by a single CSM track machine in a single day (23.8.09) in KEU-JAJ section which is best ever progress for any single day. Previous best was 19.25 km achieved in SEB-GHD section on 21.11.03.

9. Speed at Turn outs & Loop lines between Neora-Kuchman stations in PNBE-MGS section has been raised from 15 kmph to 30 kmph in September.

10. 10 Special Trains (2393A/2394A PNBE-NDLS, 0771/0772 PNBE-SC, 0415/0416 PNBE-DEE, 0389/0390 PNBE-NDLS, 0142/0411 PNBE-CSTM, 2296A/2295A PNBE-SBC, 2401A/2402A PNBE-DEE Garib Rath, 2401B/2402B Garib Rath, 2401D/2402D PNBE-DEE and 0381/0382 RJPB-AII) have been run to clear rush during Festival season.

 

General Manager, East Central Railway, Hajiipur made Annual Inspection of Kuil-Gaya section on 05.03.2009 and inaugurated following items during his inspection:

  • Improvement of Waiting Hall, Circulating Area and Pay & Use Toilet at Sheikhpura.Improvement of Waiting Hall, Circulating Area and additional counter for UTS at Nawadah.As per directions of the Railway Board and HQ office, the division had geared up to expedite movement of relief materials to Saharsa and Purnea. Close monitoring was done in the division for dispatch of these materials expeditiously to the destination.Division extended all help to Samastipur division in handling the flood situation by deputing Railway personnel from various departments besides Scouts.Ara-Piro new line had been opened from 04.02.2009.Sectional speed had been raised from 75 Kmph to 100 Kmph between Taregna-Punpun down line Km. 26/10-13/32 in Patna-Gaya section.Two numbers of permanent speed restrictions on diamond crossings for Up and Dn lines at Mokama had been removed by replacing wooden sleepers with PSC sleepers. These restrictions were continuing for about last 08-10 years. It was done with meticulous planning and active participation of engineering & S&T staff, and active support from operating department in four mega blocks.Work of joggling of plating of welds on outer rail on curves & bridges and their approaches had been completed during the month.TGI value was recorded as 83.00 in Nov’08, which is 13% higher than the value recorded in Jun’08.Coach indication boards had been installed and commissioned on all the three platforms at Buxar and on platform nos. 01 & 02 at Ara.Video conference based enquiry systems had been installed at Patna Saheb and Rajendra Nagar stations to provide better enquiry services to the passengers.2nd shift PRS counter had been opened at Jehanabad w.e.f. 01.08.08. Extra new UTS Counter has been provided at Jamui from 11.08.2008.The UTS/PRS circuit of Rajgir has been connected to Patna on Railway’s FOIS network.
  • Video conferencing based enquiry system was started in Patna Sahib and Rajendranagar.
  • Enquiry system based on video conferencing had been installed between call centre of Patna and Kiul, Jhajha, Mokama, Bakhtiyarpur and Buxar.Direct inward dialing facility had been provided in Patna Railway exchange. Consumers can dial on any Railway telephone from any outside non Railway phone by dialing 0612-27.UTS wad installed with diversify at Khusropur.UTS have been commissioned at Warisaliganj, Wajeerganj, Harnaut and Hilsa.Panel Interlocking at Dheena had been commissioned.Punctuality was 100% on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday.New stoppages were provided for train no. 3111/3112 and 3413/3414 at Chausa as well as of train no. 3005/3006 at Gahmar.Train no. 8624/8623 Hatia-Patna Express has been extended to Islampur as new train no. 3252/3251 from 26.07.08.
